Sigha's combination of cavernous soundscapes and stoically forward-skanking beats happens to be pretty much at the edge of dubstep/minimal-crossover, which has become so popular over the past year. Carefully mixed down on London's legendary Plastic-People-Soundsystem - he's running a monthly night there - his ostensibly calm and fragile productions turn out to be hitting dancefloors ultra-hard once they're played on a big system. In fact it was only a matter of time before he would draw the attention of Scuba and the likes. With "Bruised" and "Expansions", Sigha's first release continues to draw the Hotflush Two label down a deeper, more techno-infused path. His musical influences come from artists such as Shed, Marcel Dettmann, and Pole, as well as dubstep masters Martyn and 2562. His much sought-after dubs have received massive support from camps such as Ruffage (Ramadanman/Ben UFO/Pangea), Immersed (Kidkut/Thinking) and last not least Dubsquare & friends. ()

Debuting in 2005 on Graz' Houseverbot imprint, Simon/off's unique style has been constantly evolving since then. Being heavily influenced by Dubstep and IDM-ish sounds recently, his tunes enjoy support by the likes of Distance (Rinse FM), Bunzer0 (Sub FM) or Rob Booth (Electronic Exploration). Simon/off's intoxicating live-shows have already fascinated audiences all across Europe. For 2009 a 12" on US-based label Surface Tension is scheduled. ()

Dubster is a member of Vienna's Dubquake Crew, whose groundshaking dub-nights at Fluc_wanne have definitely been one of the highlights in 2008 - expect a fine selection of UK-dub sounds. ()

The night will be hosted by IZC from Dubsquare Records - check out his weekly radioshow on Sub.FM! (Thursdays, 15-17h CET) ()

»Hotflush continue to embrace the influence of their Berlin surroundings with yet another impressive foray into Technoid function with this excellent debut twelve from London-based newcomer Sigha. 'Bruised' on the A-side is a dark and brooding simmer that has much in common with the more tech-focused output of Pinch, delivering a basic but brilliantly executed realisation of Minimalism without resorting to clichéd effects. But it's "expansions' on the flip that's worthy of your hard-earned, deploying a Hessle-style steppy shuffle in line with the likes of Pangaea and Dave Huismans (aka 2562) and adding to that fast growing canon of mutant 2-step that's foraging its own brilliant path in dubstep at the moment. Seit wann is im Rhiz DnB? Hab immer glaubt des is mehr so a Alternativling-Ding...

Naja feine Sache auf jeden Fall. Werd dann mal an Sprung vorbei schneiben.

Naja von intellektuell kann bei der Aussag, mal sowieso ned de Rede sein, aber hab da den gfallen aber trotzdem getan.

Vielleicht post ich dir mal a Heimfest, dann kannst mit de Studls koma trinken gehn.
