haha.. na angst soll ma keine haben.. es geht eher darum, dass die styles bei "breakcore" miteinander verschmelzen..

und drum gibts auf unseren parties halt mal jazzige sounds, mal hiphop, mal folk, mal polka mit breakz, mal dies und mal das zwischendrin oder obendrüber...

kein limit an styles heisst halt, dass es da nicht den ganzen abend nur d&b oder nur speedcore oder nur dies oder das gibt.. sondern dass sich alles vermischt..

tja.. in graz gibts tech/house DJs denen harte breakz auch voll taugen und vvice versa breakcore leute die auch nix gegen housige sounds haben.. solange abwechsluzng geboten wird,.,.,

ich find das ur-super, wenn sich styles mischen und das publikum, wie die DJs offene ohren haben und auch nen offenen geist und KEINE LIMITS !

soweit dazu..

bei guerrilla:breakz gehts auch um den breakcore gedanken.. mix everything..

Dr. Death hat übrigens absagen müssen, da ihm die Einreise nach England verweigert wurde, weil ihm ein vollidiot von zollbeamter nicht geglaubt hat, dass er eh gleich weiterfährt aufs europäische festland und dort tourt...

total krass.. schon das zweite mal, dass ich von Musikern höre, die in GB probleme haben bei der einreise..

beschissene gesetzesverschärfungen bei einreisebestimmungen, wegen dem stupiden "war against terror", der ja in wahrheit ein "brutkasten des terrors" ist - und das dient dem regiereden establishment in GB, USA und auch hier - denn wenn man dem volk furcht vor terror etc. einreden kann, lässt sichs leicht regieren und es is easy neue gesetze mit restriktionen durchzusetzen!

ein wahnsinn, echt..

After an ass-kicking split 12" with Austria's Eiterherd on Peace
Off, the american act Xanopticon comes back with two new of his
hard breakcore tracks, this time on 7" and on Mirex.

And Xanopticon has not mellowed down. From its beginning, "Tinw"
is one of these hectic and twitching mass of beats, patterns and
short bursts of noises that keep on switching rhythms, jumping
beats and constantly juggle on the edge of being off. Hard and
chaotic in appearance, Xanopticon seems to write his track on a
drum machine that would have Parkinson's disease, previously
selecting the most precise and short beats. Even though he adds
to the mix some (short) sweeping basses and a few voice samples,
the whole thing is surprisingly clean and "cut" for a breakcore
release, the sound never getting muddy or blurry, however fast it
all might be. And damn, it get pretty fast and violent on
"Nemeti", I can already see people either jumping around in awe on
dancefloors.

Using almost only drum sounds, Xanopticon is somewhat straighter,
and less surprising that Venetian Snares, and could remind of this
project's first CD ("Printf"). More precise than Fanny, drier than
Eiterherd, harder and more hectic than Hecate, here is an act
which manages to make his little whole in a precise genre and
scene, getting an original sound and producing it very well
without stepping outside of any given boundary. But in the end you
get something which is most definitely breakcore, but a really
well done one, Xanopticon being, in my humble opinion, one of
the best acts of the genre, and maybe one of the few which will
remain when the trend has died down.

Novus Ordo Seculorum

Released on the french Peace Off label, this split 12" brings
together the american Xanopticon and the austrian Eiterherd, each
of them offering three tracks of solid breakcore. They might not
be as well known as Venetian Snares or Hecate, but these two
projects seem to be making a name for themselves in the breakcore
scene. This 12" will probably help.

Xanopticon starts with the really furious and broken "Droma". A
very hard drum pattern is meshed with a lot of smaller noises
and loops, Venetian Snares-style. The track keeps on accelerating
and stay heavy and percussive all the way, while always staying
quite complex. "Scrach" isn't as great but still very heavy and fast,
for the headbanging freak in you. This first side end with the
short and slightly noisier "The shifting sky", in which the sounds
get a bit more abrasive. Xanopticon, a new project from
Pittsburgh, shows here that he knows how to write a relatively
undistorted but heavy breakcore that can be easily compared to
Venetian Snares on "Doll doll doll" for its constant variation
and its heaviness.

On the other side, Eiterherd starts with the very broken
"Masturbator", in which very fast drum loops are supported with
a rather heavy bass and some strange (sung?) melody. Like
Xanopticon's on the other side, this first trackis really hard
and violent. "Ugla" is a very different track, with saturated sounds
and a relatively steady mid-tempo rhythm. Not bad, but this one
never grew on me. "Alpenbreak" is a very nice one, on the other
hand, not as harsh but with some unusual groove and catchiness
for a track using a lot of short and percussive beats.

All in all, Xanopticon offers three very powerful and highly
danceable tracks that remind of the hardest side of Venetian
Snares, minus the sampling. On his side, Eiterherd is a bit more
experimental and noisy, with tracks that are more de-structured
but go a bit slower. Anyway, a very tasty record with all it
needs to be enjoyable.

nur klingt " noise und jazzhiphopfolk & terrorspeedcorepolka" halt nach misch masch.. ich bin eher der typ für 1 abend = 1 genre oder auch 1 lokal (an einem bestimmten abend) = 1 genre..

hoffe es ist jetz besser verständlich, was ich gemeint habe
