Diese Redewendung bedeutet "energisch sein, sich nichts gefallen lassen".
Es handelt sich wohl um eine Weiterbildung von "Haare haben", "ein haariger Kerl sein" also sehr männlich und tapfer sein. Die äusserste Form dieser Haarigkeit wäre, wenn sogar auf den Zähnen Haare wachsen.
Die Redewendung ist übrigens schon für das 16. Jahrhundert belegt.
hätt' ich ned gwusst was das bedeutet.
da sinds aber sicher auch lästig.
