press release
A collective of four, London town dwellers through and through, Slaughter Mob (2 DJ's Bandit & Q Gritty, 2 MC's - Vicious MC & MC Dangerous) formed in the mid nineties. The days when Garage was London's latest underground ting and Jungle was gradually spreading out it's deep roots. This bunch have travelled their way, through pirate stations such as Chicago, Mission, Rinse FM, to the heavier Kool and more recently the mighty 1Xtra and London's Kiss 100. They have spun there way through just about all of London's top venue's such as Fabric, Ministry of Sound, The End, Bagleys and Camden Palace. Making a strong name for their efforts through dealings with London's one and only FWD (Plastic People). Slaughter Mob's releases span from 1999 (Dubweapon) to present, having touched bases with tunes on Reflex Records, Hot Flush and their very own Halo Beats.
They are probably the most travelled Dubstep collective to date and with Dubstep set to continue it's movement, expect to see more of these guys in the summer of 2008. Slaughter Mob have stuck together on many levels and as a result have tasted each and every underground vibe London has had to offer. Today they head up the Dubstep scene in London and turn their roots into some serious beats. Slaughter Mob are Dub soldiers (with Halo's) and come armed with serious sub-bass dubplates. It is recommended all heads check out the tune; Horror - enter the Slaughter chamber.
