Tony Vegas, Prime Cuts and Plus One are the Scratch Perverts - a name that has become synonymous with HipHop and battle DJing ever since their formation in 1996. Their reputation as one of the world’s most progressive DJ collectives is unparalleled; two consecutive World DMC Team titles, Plus One's World DMC Champion and World Vestax Champion titles, Prime Cut's and Plus One`s back to back World ITF Scratching crowns, and countless showcases and gigs all over the world.
Having won all there is to offer in the competition circuit, the Perverts are ready to enter the next stage of their development as recording artists. But as DJs who have contributed countless techniques and *******ed such radical innovations developing the musical language of the turntable, what the Perverts define as HipHop is a long way off what people would expect. “HipHop is a celebration of all kinds of music just by its very nature,” explains Prime Cuts. “So it follows that our album is very much a HipHop album in the broadest sense of the term. We’ve tried to do what we see HipHop as being – a celebration of all music, taking on board everything that inspires us and channelling it into our tracks.”
The Perverts have always unselfconsciously embraced and incorporated anything that feels right musically, which is evident when you consider that they count the likes of The Neptunes, Dillinja, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and Aphex Twin, amongst their inspirations and influences. .”
The creative energy and enthusiasm that the Perverts exude is quite something, through all their schizophrenic influences and lofty ideals you get the feeling that they will harness and channel their combined creativity into something very special. “Our challenge is in coming up with something that’s an honest reputation of ourselves,” says Plus One.

hiphop kann auch abseits gaengiger inhalte, trends oder hypes eine eigendynamik entwickeln.das wiener produzenten und dj trio - buzz, the bionic kid & zuzee - hat bisher mit jeder veröffentlichung die grenzen des hiphop - gebiets auf der musikalischen landkarte weiter ausgedehnt und auflüge in andere musikalische gefielde gewagt, ohne dabei die selbstverstaendlichkeit und spontanität in der produktionsweise und den arrangements zu verlieren. dies verleiht dem sound - in verbindung mit live elementen, samplergestützer hiphop produktion und turntablism elementen - den so eigenen geschmack. nicht zu letzt tragen die 3 sehr unterschiedlichen charaktere, musikalischen ansichten und herangehensweisen zu dem gewünschten und oft unvorhersagbaren ergebnis bei.

DJ CYANTIFIC (HOSPITAL/uk)
CYANTIFIC are Jon Stanley and Matt Whitehead. Gathered into the Hospital fold in the summer of 2002 on a High Contrast tip-off, the Twickenham pair are carving their own unique profile in the d+b community. In Jon's very own words we hear how their sounds of Cyance began sometime back..."when we were at school. Matt was in a metal band and I was messing about with a basic wave editor in 96, when I was about 15. Matt had been getting more into the drum+bass I was playing him - we started working together for 4 or 5 years, until taking it seriously in 2000."
2005 sees Cyantific steaming ahead, off the back of the sawtooth monster "Output", which dropped last year. Since then they've been getting hot on the remixes, most notably remixing oldskool classic "Cold Fresh Air" for Moving Shadow. Look out for this bad boy hitting the shops in summer. The boys are currently working towards the release of Don't Follow featuring Diane Charlemagne, the legendary diva featured on Goldie's jungle classic "Inner City Life". "Don't Follow" drops July 2005.
The album is now scheduled for release in late 2005, giving the boys time to concentrate on extra terrestrials, reptile conspiracies and everything else Cyantific.
