sollte man sich in hinblick auf daw-anwendungen eher für die p- oder die t-serie entscheiden? was is der unterschied?

Die T-Serie der C2D CPUs hat im Normalfall eine TDP von 35W, die P-Serie hat nur 25W bei gleichem Takt.

Z.B. T9400 vs. P9500:
Beide haben 2.53GHz, 6MB Cache, FSB 1066. Sie unterscheiden sich nur im Stromverbrauch! 25W das P-Modell und 35W das T-Modell. Darum wird ein Notebook mit dem P-Modell bei gleicher Performance eine Spur kühler bleiben und weniger Strom (Akku) verbrauchen.

Nette Übersicht:

Achtung! Bei den P-Modellen verbaut Intel gerne einen kleinen Cache (nur 3 statt 6MB), aber dafür gibts ja die Übersicht. Also P9500, P9600 oder P9700 kaufen oder gleich auf die Arrandale-Reihe (i5 520M, i5 540M, i7 620M) von Intel warten. Soll am 7.1.2010 vorgestellt werden. (2Core/4Threads, TurboMode, Grafik,...)

Also in meinem MacBook Pro ist ein T9300 und im Nächsten wirds wohl ein Arrandale sein. Tja, die gute alte PPC-Zeit ist vorbei. Alles der gleiche Schaas nun...

I've finally made the decision to buy my first Mac Book but I'm stuck. I don't know if i should buy the base model MBP 13.3" now or if I should wait to see if/when Apple will add Intel's Core i chips. I'd really be upset if I buy one of these today and the Core i version ships in a few weeks. I see that the rumors have started and my question is, if you had to guess, would you think the Core i 3/5/7 model would be released by the years end?

Also, do you expect the price of the base model MacBook Pro Core i3/5/7 to increase?

Intels Arrandale-Reihe kommt im Jänner. Die Preise bleiben im Normalfall auf ähnlichem Niveau wie die aktuellen Modelle.

Kurz: Arrandale Macs erst im Q1 2010!
