Nike and they could care less as their sneaker was getting HUGE exposure

This then spawned the sneaker known today by many as the Air Jordans. Once Nike had gotten a hold of Michael they then presented him with the name as well as the first style and set of colors that they were planning on creating. During the conference between MJ his agent and the Nike staff things seemed to not go so well and Michael was said to have a sort of bored look on his face. Nike representatives where worried but as soon as they left the meeting Michael said that he would like to take part in this deal.

After Michael decided to officially take part in this deal Nike signed a 2.5 million dollar contract for five years, plus royalties and other fringe benefits and this was then the entire “shoe game” changed. At that time many basket ball sneakers were simple and white but not the new , they where a bold black and red. Now of course this is a huge switch but it caught the attention of viewers everywhere, even so much that the NBA banned the shoe from the league. This didn’t stop Michael from wearing them though, but every game they were worn the NBA charged Michael a $5,000 fine. This fine was paid by Nike and they could care less as their sneaker was getting HUGE exposure.

In early 1984 the famous Nike sneaker brand that we now see everywhere today was struggling. The previous year they were huge but as the running shoe craze began to die down Nike needed something new and inviting to make sure that the company stayed on top of the industry. During this time Michael Jordan was already endorsing some other companies and Nike saw him as the “Golden Ticket” to their success and therefore set out to sign him. Of course at this time had no idea to what point this would grow but his agent saw the potential in signing a contract with Nike.

You would think that with its huge exposure they would sell off like nothing but with their steep prices the sales hadn’t been all that good and Jordan was looking on leaving the deal. This was until Hatfield stepped in and sat down Michael to have a one on one discussion on where he would like to see the design and company go. This was after the Air Jordan II’s had been released and during the planning of the . With the help of Michaels input on the new Jordan III’s he made them lighter and with better materials which could be sold at a cheaper price. This was the turning point of Nike as sales sky rocketed.

When you mention what comes to mind is the famous basket ball player Michael Jordan who really knew what a game was and without him there was no real game. With the shoes being named after this celebrity you can be sure everyone will want to own them despite the fact that they are scarce and hard to find.With the help of the Nike shoe company, Michael Jordan started a shoe revolution company that is still in existence as of now naming it air Jordan. The first shoe was designed in 1985 and has continued to release different designs after a period of time despite the controversy and changes in fashion in today's world.

The second shoe was designed in 1986 by Bruce Kilgore and the designs were so innovative because part of the design was produced in Italy adding more style to the shoes without using black colour.Tinker Hatfield designed the third shoe in 1988, and the shoe was much different from the two . Unlike the two shoes in the past, this one had an air sole that was so visible. Just like the air Jordan shoes two, they were poorly sold because not many people wanted to buy them.

The shoes come in different designs basing on the material and various shapes used in making the shoes. They differ from the soles to the laces, and the way the collars of the ankle have been designed. The material used also ranges from pure leather, to cotton or fabric.The style of the shoes has continued to be designed by even considering some celebrities like Kanye West whom an air Jordan shoe was designed basing on the clothes he will wear during the release of a new album. There have been some key players in various games that have also had air Jordan shoes specifically designed for them. They include Chris Paul among others.

The are designed ensuring the comfortability of the user. They mostly have low soles and are very light to enable players especially basket ball players to move very fast. The body of the shoes is heavily built but light at the same time such that if one steps on a player, the shoe is able to protect his skin.Air Jordan shoes have funny colours because more than one colour is used in designing some of them. Some have even associated the shoes to devil colours.The colours have the ability to strike from far because of the colour combinations that have been used on the shoes such as yellow and green. Air Jordan remains the shoes that one would wish to wear because of its mark left behind by celebrities.
