Nach einem sensationellen Auftritt beim Donauinselfest 2010 sind PENDULUM mit ihrem neuen Album „Immersion“ auf Europatour und machen am 1. Oktober 2010 in der Dogana Innsbruck halt. Neben dem Konzert in Wien (2. Oktober, Planet.tt) der einzige Österreich-Termin bis Jahresende!
Die Begeisterung um „Immersion“, das schon zuvor eines der meist erwarteten Alben 2010 war, hat sich nach PENDULUM’s exklusivem Album-Preview DJ Set während der Ear Storm Night in London’s Club Matter im Januar noch weiter um sich gegriffen. Das Set wurde per Live-Stream 200.000 Zuschauern vorgeführt.
Das Album läutet eine glorreiche Entwicklung des Sounds von PENDULUM ein. Eingeleitet wird das Album mit dem Track „Salt In The Wounds“, der auf die Underground Drum’n’Bass Wurzeln der Band zurückgeht. Diese hallen an vielen Stellen durch „Immersion“, besonders in der zweiten Single „Witch Craft“ sowie „Crush“, die beide durch frenetische Beats förmlich explodieren, während die Kollaboration mit Liam Howlett von The Prodigy auf „Immunize“ eine intensive technisch-akustische Energie mit sich bringt.
