STATE OF MIND (NZ) | Faster than Light Album Tour Stop
Hailing from Auckland, New Zealand, State of Mind are the duo of Stu Maxwell and Patrick Hawkins. Beginning their careers in 2004 SOM have become notoriously prolific producers with releases on a broad spectrum of labels throughout the dnb scene. Material can be found on the shelves via Total Science's CIA Recordings, Teebee's Subtitles Records, Friction's Shogun Audio, Futurebound’s Viper label, Doc Scott’s 31 Records, Concord Dawn’s Uprising imprint, Bad Company, BSE & Obsessions, and more. They have also released a full CD ‘Take Control’ on Uprising Records, and album that garnered them the publicly voted award of ‘Breakthrough Artists 2006’ on the B-Net radio network in NZ. Yet even this impressive list has not satisfied State of Mind’s creative appetite. In 2007 they launched their own label SOM Music, featuring the talents of Chris Su, Black Sun Empire, Switzerland’s Axiom, Trei, Sigma, Mindscape, Spinline and more. Their 2nd album is due to be released on SOM music early 2009. State Of Mind also host the hugely popular international ‘Next Level” 95BFM drum n bass show (Saturday 9-11pm NZ time, online at www.95bfm.com)

Hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark, Pyro started making music at the age of 14. Although fascinated by all electronic genres, he quickly settled on drum and bass when it first appeared commercially in 1995.
He then spent the next few years exploring this sonic domain, seeking the darker/techier forms of the sound. In 2000, Pyro and Paul Reset were signed to Trouble On Vinyl, under the Semantix moniker. This made Pyro the first Danish producer to release drum and bass internationally. A DJ career also began to flourish at this time, resulting in Pyro playing the prestigious Roskilde Festival two years in a row. Solo signings quickly followed to labels such as Outbreak and Perspective; with 'Falling' (feat. male singer Shiraz) going straight to 3 on BBC Radio 1's 5 Mighty Rollers chart.
Searching for a corner of the scene they could call their own, Pyro & Paul Reset started Nerve Recordings in 2001. Since then, the label has helped propel talents such as Gridlok, Noisia, and SKC into the limelight.
Over 20+ releases later (on labels such as Nerve, Collective, Industry, Habit, Leet, Deeper Realms, Shadybrain and others), Pyro has developed a very distinct techno-influenced sound of his own, and has ventured to both mellow and hard territory and recieved support from djs such as raiden, telemetrik, vicious circle, phace and cause4concern. Committed to spreading the techno dnb sound, he's performed all over the US and Europe (including Estonia, Hungary, Russia, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Macedonia, Norway, Sweden, and Holland), and has held several residencies in his hometown (Jungle Fever, Dynamics, and DNB Zone).

Denis The Menace, seines Zeichens Star DJ der House-Szene, wurde als kreativer Part des Produzenten-Duos ‚Denis The Menace & Jerry Ropero‘ bekannt und erobert mit seinen Beats die Dancefloors dieser Welt. Mit seiner Lieber zur Musik und harter, beharrlicher Arbeit hat er die Top-Liste der Musikproduzenten erklommen, zu dem sich auch Axwell, Roger Sanchez oder Milk&Sugar gesellen. Im Jahr 2005 stürmte er mit dem Track ‚Time To Turn Around‘ Platz 1 des US Downloadportals Traxsource und stieg von Null auf Plaz 2 der UK Hype Charts ein.
