Our freelance Cyantists hail from the far flung reaches of South-West London. Award winning disk jockey Jon & twisted synth genius Matt have been making harsh tasty beats together since high school and were gathered up into the Hospital fold in summer 2002, after a tip off from High Contrast no less. With a series of 12"s, remixes and compilation appearances helping to build their diehard underground fanbase.
In 2005 they released Don't Follow a storming fast soul classic which featured the vocal talents of the legendary Diane Charlemagne, this brought their sound to a new audience and has remained in the boxes of many A-list d&b jocks ever since.
It was 2006 which saw the release of their Debut LP Ghetto Blaster; an epic album of futuristic beats which won instant plaudits from both fans and critics alike and really marked Cyantific's place in D&B history. Remix work and extensive touring followed, which takes us to 2007 - and the boys are back in their cyance lab (actually a barn in Hampton Wick) working on secret gene-splicing formulas to resurrect the musical spirit of Georgio Moroder and vintage Jonny L within a cutting edge jungle framework.
Jon's DJ sets are something to behold too, a fact that was recognised in march 2007 when Cyantific scooped the highly prized Best Breakthrough DJ award from BBC 1Xtra - this man has some serious skills, and he's on a mission to spread the gospel according to Cyantific far and wide. Rumours are rife; that he practices for over 12 hours per day; that he has magic arms and fingers; that he has special communication links to reptilian beings from another planet.
Hospital cannot confirm or deny these rumours.

Teebee or DJ Teebee is a Norwegian DJ and producer of drum and bass. Real name Torgeir Byrknes, Teebee began DJing in 1990 and released his first record in 1996. He was one of the first drumnbass producers from outside the UK to rise to the A-list of the scene, and won the Knowledge Magazine award for Best International Producer in 2001.Teebee's music is characterised by a strong dark and futuristic science fiction influence. Teebee material could be classed as neurofunk or tec hstep, although possessing a deeper ambient and atmospheric quality than much of this subgenre. His early work in particular owes an acknowledged stylistic debt to Photek, and he was initially mostly associated with the Certificate 18 record label, alongside Photek and fellow Norwegian Polar. Following the demise of Cert 18, he has been most associated with his own label Subtitles. Having sealed a status as one of the drum and bass genre's ******* European artistes while the genre peaked in the late 90s, Teebee had the foresight to move on to incorporate eclectic/experimental sounds into his music, mixing diverse samples into his tunes, such as China's Wong Fei Hung theme, "On the General's Orders", landing him a reputation for diversity that was his comptetitve advantage and artistic style to parallel him with the likes of Roni Size. With his reputation growing as one of the best drum & bass dj's Teebee looks set to continue his style with UK producer Calyx. The duo have finished their first album entitled "Anatomy" on the newly formed label "Momentum Music". Tracks from this album have been smashed globally and include "Telepathy" & "The Shape of Things To Come".

About DJ Noodles:
DJ Noodles is known primarily for an eclectic combination of styles. She has been a ******* in the industry, and her ability to juggle different elements from different musical styles has earned her the respect of the local community as well as many international DJs.
Noodles’ unique style developed thanks to her early exposure to many different musical genres, ranging from classical to rock, jazz and techno. DJ Noodles experimented mixing hip-pop elements in her remix debut album “Beautiful Mind” released by independent label Flood Music in 2004. In 2005 her album “GIRLS DEM SUGAR” released by EMI brought a blast of reggae fever in Taiwan and it was the first remix album to make it to mainstream top 10 charts. After dominating the Taiwanese scene for several years, Noodles had a chance to show her skills in Japan after she started her first residency at “Club the Game” in Tokyo. During that time she was praised by DJs as well as crowds, which encouraged her to start working on launching tracks in Japan. Back in Taiwan, DJ Noodles won the 2006 TAIWAN DMC CHAMPIONSHIP and got a chance to represent Taiwan at the DMC WORLD FINAL . She is also the first female ever to make it to the finals in this competition. She can currently be found rocking the house at LUXY and Party Room in Taipei. |
