To his fans, Tony 'Mentally Ill' Matterhorn has become one of the most outstanding Dancehall DJs in recent years. As one of the industries most talented solo selectors, he has opened the door for many others such as Fire Links, Nico Bam Bam, Ricky Trooper, Freddie Kruga and Swamp King. Tony Matterhorn, weltweit einer der bekanntesten DJ’s in der Dancehall-Arena. Für eingefleischte Fans ist er „Mr Excitement der Ladylover“ Wenn man heutzutage auf Jamaica den USA oder England auf eine Dance geht um die neuesten Tunes und Dubplates zu hören, dann geht man nirgendwo anders hin, als auf eine Dance von Tony Matterhorn.
Hält er ein Mikrophon in der Hand ist er dafür bekannt, dass er kein Blatt vor den Mund nimmt, denn dann wird aus ihm Tony „Mentally Ill“ Matterhorn.
Gerade diese Schizophrenie erlaubt es ihm auch vor noch so unterschiedlichem Publikum eine perfekte Show abzuliefern.
Am 09.09. kann man selber Zeuge von Tony’s unterschiedlichen Charakteren werden. Zum ersten Mal wird Matterhorn nach Wien kommen und dem Reigen Publikum zeigen was „Real Entertainment“ bedeutet. Seine Erfahrung und Berühmtheit basieren auf einem der legendärsten Clash-Sound aus den U.S.A., King Addies, bevor er sich mit seinem Co-Selector Baby Face zusammen tat und als Team namenhafte Sounds wie Black Kat, Bass Odyssey und Jaro’s Ricky Trooper dem Erdboden gleich zu machen.
Ein weiterer Meilenstein in seiner Karriere ist die dreifache Nominierung als Repräsentant der USA auf dem berühmten Irish & Chin Worldclash in New York, welchen er 2002 gegen David Rodigan, Mighty Crown und Bass Odyssey gewann, sowie den legendären UK Cup Clash 2003.
