Lena Popova/ russia
Lena Popova is the first girl who became a Dj in Russia. Since the summer of 1994 she plays vinyl. She started as a resident of the first Russian Techno club “Tonnel”. This club was famous for being the main place of the
electronic dance music scene. Since 1994, and up to the moment of the tragic closing of the above-mentioned club, Lena had been holding faithfully the banner of the club, where she worked as the art-director for the last two years. To the joy of party-goers, she and Alexey Haas are preparing the rebirth of the club.
Most people associate the name of this female dj with the hard rhythm of Techno. Lena plays also different variations of Techno, e.g. Electro. Recently Lena’s preference is mostly given to Scandinavian and English experimental Techno sound. Partly thanks to Lena, Saint-Petersburg is gaining reputation as Russia’s capital for techno-music.
Lena was a resident of an unique independent radio station named “Port FM”. She also conducted two author’s programs there. The first program was “Dynamite”. It was directed to shed light on cultural events not only in the modern club culture, but also in fashion events throughout world, modern art and so on. The second program that Lena conducted was named “A sleeping hour”.
It represented a harmonious mix of fairy tales of different cultures all over the world in different periods of time and modern electronic experimental music. She also takes part in organizing parties, that have become a good tradition in Saint-Petersburg: located in the most unexpected places of industrial districts and famous for the hard style of music.
Today Lena plays at partys and festivals all over the Russia and Europe.

LIVE: PATRIC CATANI (Berlin)
Dieser Mann ist Multitalent und Legende zugleich. Bereits im Alter von 17 Jahren stand der aus Köln stammende und mittlerweile in Berlin lebende Musiker als "E de Cologne" auf der Bühne der größten Raves der damals noch jungen Gabber-Szene in Holland. Damals beeindruckte er mit seinen am Amiga 500 produzierten Tracks und war einige Male auf den legendären "Thunderdome" Samplern vertreten.
Als er nach Berlin zog, lernte er bald auch Alec Empire kennen und war bald auch auf den ersten Releases des legendären Labels "DHR - Digital Hardcore Recordings" vertreten. Allerdings nicht als E de Cologne, sondern mit einem neuen Projekt inklusive Sängerin: EC8OR. Nach einigen Tourneen (unter anderem in den USA) und zahlreichen Auftritten weltweit, wurde es um das EC8OR Projekt etwas ruhiger.
Im laufe der Jahre hat sich Patric Catani musikalisch weiterentwickelt und ist mit zahlreichen Projekten auf einigen Labels international vertreten: Als Candy Hank produziert er "experimentellen HipHop" und hat auch Releases auf Wordsound (bekanntes US-Underground HipHop Label) veröffentlicht.
Und wäre das alles nicht schon genug, ist Patric Catani zeitweise auch noch Mitglied der Berliner Puppenspieler HipHop crew Puppetmastaz, die international für Furore sorgen.
Im Forum Stadtpark wird Catani einen Überblick seines Schaffens geben und man darf auch auf neues Material gespannt sein. From HipHop to Breakcore. No Limits.

Berliner Beatbox Spezialist, der es versteht HipHop soweit zu abstrahieren, dass man nicht mehr genau weiß, ob man nun schon bei Breakcore angekommen ist, oder nicht. Mark Boombastik ist bekannt für einen
äußerst außergewöhnlichen Ansatz des Beatboxing. Sehr noisy eben.

Der Grazer DJ mit dem seltsamen Namen steht für Sets, die man schwer einordnen kann. Von Dub und Ragga bis hin zu Jungle Breaks und Drum&Bass wird hier viel geboten. Gut gemixt und mit einem reichen Erfahrungsschatz hat Brrrrrrrt schon sehr oft das Publikum zum schwitzen gebracht.
DJ ZVONKO (disko404, GRAZ)
Ein DJ der es bevorzugt das Publikum mehr zum Hören als zum Tanzen zu bewegen. Seine musikalische Auswahl besticht durch Abwechslung und viel Experimentelles. Als Mitglied der disko404 crew ist er auch Veranstalter zahlreicher gut besuchter Events.

Seine experimentellen Bilderfluten haben schon viele Parties zu einem Erlebnis werden lassen. Tagesaktuelle Ferneshbilder treffen auf eine Collage aus moderner Comuptersymbolik und abstrakten Zeichen. Sehenswert! |
